• Practical applications of airscent canine foundation principles. Field work includes strengthening indications, isolating elements of the search sequence, and distinguishing the different values of rewards. Will also cover additional cross training topics such as; fitness, injury prevention and obedience games. This group is best suited for individuals looking to build on a strong foundation or reinforce specific behaviors within the search sequence.

  • This course is intended for teams who have an established search sequence and are able to work small area problems.  We will cover a number of topics including strengthening the search sequence, how to transition aspects of training, developing training plans/goals, and more.

  • A series of air scent scenarios in a variety of environments intended to help teams become an independent asset, reading your canine's behaviors and create meaningful training scenarios.  Mostly single blind subject placements will be in a wide range of locations and subject characteristics.  Trouble shooting minor training struggles. This group is designed for deployable teams.

  • A series of scenarios focused on the important aspects of trails. This group is designed for beginning through intermediate teams looking to start or build on the foundations. Scenarios can be tweaked to a specific level. Dogs minimally should be social/neutral to strangers, be comfortable in a harness and working on a lead, and have a motivational reward in place.

  • Designed to push teams past their comfort and experience situations they might not normally train for. Real world situations involving tricky subjects and search objectives that might give you pause or make a handler question their training. Groups will spend a full day running urban trails around the picturesque and bustling Wellsboro, then back to the rolling hills. This group is for advanced teams with a solid understanding of the basics and looking to build on experience.

  • Designed to refine handler and k9 team skills with a larger focus on distractions, starting small, getting creative, anomalies and discrimination.  There will be more opportunities to work on refining your search skills on shoreline, building and vehicle searches. This course is tailored for intermediate to advanced teams, dogs must have a reliable trained final response.

  • A series of scenarios focused on all aspects of being a team and having fun with your K9 partner. Setting up the perfect hides, games to make training fun, and how to build, introduce and teach thresholds to the canine. This group is for pre-certification or certified teams.

  • Come audit for just the day, you choose which day is easiest for you. Agendas for groups of interest will be supplied.

  • Come audit all weekend. Agendas for groups of interest will be supplied.

  • Tents, Campers and RVs welcome. Access to showers and bathrooms. No hookups available on-site. Includes 3 nights. Additional pets welcome.

  • 2 nights, shared bunkhouse, co-Ed style. Multiple rooms, limited to 10 per room. Dogs must be crated.

  • For those who need to book an extra night's stay for Thursday, please select this option. Bunkhouse doors open at 9am and you can get settled any time after that.

Having requested the right to participate in the North Penn 2024 K9 Seminar to be held at Ski Sawmill Family Resort in Morris, PA. From 20th– 22nd SEPTEMBER 2024, such application having been made of my own initiative, and,
I, specifically understand and acknowledge that I am aware that there are inherent dangers and risks in the training and evaluation of search handlers and their canines, and
I, fully understand that if I am to participate in the course, I accept the inherent dangers and risks to me, my canine/s and my equipment.

NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration for permitting me to participate in such training and/or activities, I hereby waive and release the officers, agents, members, evaluators, volunteers, instructors and their staffs of the following described organizations, to wit: Northern Tier K9 Inc, DOGS-East, Inc., and Ski Sawmill Family Resort, or any organization, group or helpers, from all claims, rights or causes of actions accruing in my favor as a result of personal injuries, contraction of disease or illness, and loss or damage of property (including injury/loss of my canine/s) caused during such training or activity in conjunction with the North Penn 2024 K9 Seminar, from 20th– 22nd SEPTEMBER 2024, and such waive and release on behalf of myself and all who may hereafter claim through or for me.

PROPERTY DAMAGE AGREEMENT
I understand and agree that I am responsible for any and all damages caused by me and/or my canine/s, including but not limited to, double the property damage and/or injuries to individuals and/or their canine/s during activities associated with the North Penn 2024 K9 Seminar scheduled from 20th– 22nd SEPTEMBER 2024, at Ski Sawmill Family Resort in Morris, PA. In addition to the afore mentioned payment of damages, said individual/s and their canine/s in violation of this agreement may be expelled from Seminar with no refund.
Facility and/or camp rules that participant further agrees to:
* All canine waste is to be picked-up and disposed of in proper container and/or areas
* All canines will be crated when in cabins (no exception)
* All canines shall be on leash when in facility/camp area
* This is a Non-Smoking Facility - No smoking is permitted in any buildings
* Fireworks are prohibited

PHOTOGRAPHY AGREEMENT
By Signing I AGREE to allow Northern Tier K9, Inc. and associated staff to use photos or digital images of myself and/or my canine in the following ways:
* Web content and electronic publications
* Social media content (facebook, instagram, etc..)
* Future event promotion
* Sharing with event sponsors (i.e. thank you cards or social media tags)
* Testimonials
* News Articles

I understand that these pictures will be used in a reasonable and tasteful manner and are not used for any other purpose except for the above stated purpose.
